I was terminated from my job at Emeritus of Towson. I have constantly complained to my superiors about my co worker Lawrence and nothing was addressed. we have had arguments regarding the housekeeping duties and he constantly called me names. I wrote to the AED and she never called us into the office to talk about the issues. He played around on the job, danced in the hallways and never was... Read more

1. They employ a cook who not only has a big ego but changes menu down to the last second. Of course, this irates the caregivers and residents. And he calls plain shredded cabbage with croutons, "salad"? Everybody in the community agrees that he is one terrible cook. Surprisingly, he is still employed with the company. 2. RCD plays favoritism producing a self-appointed, "weekend manager" (eh?)... Read more

I could write a book on this place and it would be a horror book. First off, before placing your loved one at ANY Emeritus facility you MUST watch the PBS Frontline Documentary – Life and Death in Assisted Living, http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/life-and-death-in-assisted-living/ , you will soon decide that this IS NOT where you would want to place your parent, spouse, or even your... I was a former employee at Emeritus from January 2008 threw December 2010,the residents were very nice and my Grandmother who is now deceased lived there while I worked there. However, the director, who I can only go by the Last name Payne, was so mean and very nasty to me as well as to a couple other people, I was not happy the way he treaty me, so I had to walk out. This is just how you can see... Read more

I worked for Emeritus for 8 months. The residents and the other resident assistants I worked with were great. I loved working with the residents for the most part. Of course some days were better than others. However, it quickly became apparent that the upper management were only there for themselves and the money. On a daily basis there were nasty remarks made to me and other RA's. We were... Read more

Alzheimers/Dementia facility in Muskogee, OK is infested with lice for close to 2 months. Improper procedures are being done w/unknowledgable staff (which is always understaffed). No notification to visitors of the infestation so they are sitting in same chairs as those infected w/blankets left on them. Since classified as "assisted living" they avoid the majority of the health regulations. ... Read more

I loved my job working with the Seniors. They are suppose to be what this industry is about. I left because I felt as if I was being pushed to fleece the senior citizens. As a Business Office Director, I was ok with collecting the agreed upon rent from the residents. Where my morals conflicted with theirs is when I had to issue an eviction notice to a resident when we knew that the money was... Read more

The facility failed to provide very important medication for a disable person. Someone has to investigate, this is an ongoing situation. Each employee tells different story when we called to solve this issue. And if they don't have an answer they hang up the phone on you. This is the way they solve their problems. My family pays around $3000. 00 a month just to have e basic need to be provided.... Read more

My cousin was an alzheimer patient at the Emeritus at St. Augustine (Fla) facility. She passed away on February 28, 2013.
