Since I could NOT find my ORIGINAL post to give you an update -- I HAD NO CHOICE BUT to enter another post!!! I received an email from this particular assisted living facility YESTERDAY, Monday, July 12, 2010 telling me that they INDEEN HAD issued me my 100% REFUNDABLE deposit on JULY 2,2010 AND re-issued that SAME refund on THURSDAY, July 8, 2010. WELL!!! TODAY, July, 13, 2010 I received ANOTHER email that they had MISPOKEN and the refund was NOT credited to my credit card on July 8, 2010 -- BUT -- at 5:15:16PM (ACCORDING to their "receipt") JULY 12, 2010!!!!!!! THIS place has been putting me through UTTER *** since JUNE 30, 2010 about my refund!!!! NOW they BLATANTLY LIED about WHEN they issued my 100% REFUNDABLE deposit!!!!

I have HAD to issue a dispute with my credit card company AND have HAD to EXPEND ADDITIONAL COSTS to MAIL them ALL 21 pages of documentation beacuse the cc company could NOT open the file I sent them!!!! OF COURSE -- NO ONE is going to REIMBURSE me THAK ADDITIONAL expense!!!!

ANYONE out there looking into an Assisted Living Facility for a loved one STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!!!!!! Remember, the "Mother Company" is Emeritus Senior Living and they have SCADS of locations!!!! SO, IF you see that the assisted living facility is ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM involved with Emeritus Senior Living STAY AWAY -- for YOUR OWN FINALCIAL SAFETY!!!!!!!! 12906eb

They are screwing with us too. My MIL put a deposit on an apartment, and somehow 3 WEEKS later they discovered they had supposedly taken a deposit from a different family for the same apartment before we gave ours. THIS WAS EVEN AFTER WE MET WITH THE BUSINESS MANAGER WHO KNEW NOTHING ABOUT IT. WOULDN'T THE BUSINESS MANAGER KNOW IF SHE DEPOSITED A CHECK?? My MIL is the one getting screwed. They are trying to promise her a smaller apartment which may come available soon as a resident is in critical condition in a hospital, but we can't count on anything nor do we want a smaller apartment. Now I wonder if we will ever get our deposit back after seeing what was written here. Not sure how a place like that can call themselves a premiere facility. We will never get the full story but they have left an 85 year old woman virtually homeless!

Contact your state's Long Term Care Ombudsmans office. This is the kind of thing they can help with and it's free.

SO SORRY for all the typeo's, but, I am just SO UPSET about all that's been going on and ALL the *** I've been put through since June 30, 2010!!!!!! NOT to mention the LIES from the facility itself!!!!! 

 

AND WHAT PI$$ES ME OFF IS THAT I am not GOING TO GET the EXTRA MONEY I HAVE HAD TO PUT OUT-OF-POCKET TO try AND GET THIS issue resolved!!!! PLUS, the FACT that I am going to HAVE TO WAIT THIRTY (30) FRWAKING DAYS, OR MORE, to even SEE this credit on my cc!!!!!! NO ONE is going to "own up to" the fact that I am going to HAVE to pay FINANCE CHARGES on that amount!!!! THEY don't GIVE A S**T!!!!!
